4. Episode Four: Santiago Salazar, CEO Flor Keeps

Santiago Salazar,  A business major and Spanish minor alumni at Southwestern University, Salazar is the founder of Flor Keeps, a preserved and dried flower company. 

Flor Keeps has a retail storefront in Austin and operates in more than 160 supermarkets and mini-markets across Texas. The company also is a brand partner of Well Aware, a nonprofit organization that builds wells to drive economic development and empower communities in East Africa. 

Through this partnership, Flor Keeps has helped over 450 people in Kenya and Tanzania gain access to clean water for life. Salazar advises Southwestern students to show up every day and be the best version of themselves: “Truly work with honesty and integrity. This form of approach during your career at Southwestern will open endless doors for you when you graduate.”
